For language teachers
Hear every student speak, not only the ones who put a hand up.
Set a speaking task after class. Students record their answer on a phone, and you grade it with a letter or a rubric and reply with a recording. Vocabulary and grammar quizzes mark themselves.
Free for up to 10 students. Studio plan: up to 30 students for $19 a month, for one teacher.

How a week works
Live class, one link
Put your Zoom, Teams or Google Meet link on the weekly timetable. Students join from their own page, from 15 minutes before it starts.
Set a speaking task
Write the task and record yourself saying it the way you want it said. Students play your version as often as they like.
Answers recorded at home
Students record on a phone in the browser, with nothing to install, and can record again before they hand it in. Every student speaks, not only the confident ones.
A grade and a spoken reply
Grade each answer from A+ to C or with a rubric of your own, add a comment, and record a reply so they hear how you would say it.
Quizzes that mark themselves
Write vocabulary and grammar questions once, in your own question bank, and set them to every class.
Fill in the blanks
Verb forms, articles and endings. Each blank takes every answer you accept. Accents count, so give both spellings when you accept either.
Matching
Words to their meanings, or questions to their answers.
Put in order
The words of a sentence, or the lines of a dialogue.
Short answers
A word or a phrase, with every answer you accept. Capitals are ignored unless you ask for them.
Written answers
Paragraphs and essays wait for you to mark, and the quiz's final mark waits with them.
Your explanations
Give a quiz a number of attempts or a close time. Once a student has used them, or the quiz has closed, they see the right answers with your explanation of each.

Listening and reading
Put audio, video and documents in the lesson. Students play a recording as often as they like, then answer a quiz you set on it.
For families
- Children learn under a parent's account, with the parent's consent. The parent chooses who is learning, hears every answer and your feedback, and is emailed about assignment grades and reminders instead of the child.
- Recordings are private: only the student, the parent and your staff can play them.
- We put no ads or analytics on the pages students use.
- Read what we keep about children before you invite a family.
What it does not do
- It does not score pronunciation by machine. You listen, and your students hear you.
- Audio goes in the lesson, not inside a quiz question.
- It does not send invoices or take payment for lessons. Keep the tool you use for that.
What it costs
Prices are in US dollars a month, excluding taxes. Every paid plan has every feature.
Free
Up to 10 students and every feature but your own web address and name, with smaller AI allowances and no time limit. One person runs it.
Studio: $19 a month
For one teacher: up to 30 students, 10 GB of files and no other staff. A month with more than 30 active students renews on Cohort 50, or the plan its size needs. To add a second teacher, move to Cohort 50 from Billing: it changes at once, and you pay the difference for the rest of the month.
Cohort 50: $149 a month
For a language school with several teachers: up to 50 students and as many staff as you need, and larger plans by size. $89 at the founding price.
Questions and answers
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Students record, replay and hand in a speaking task from the phone browser, and play your reply there. If the recording is lost on the way, the page says so and keeps it so the student can send it again.
Can students type accents?
Yes. Students type with their own keyboard, accents included. Accents count when an answer is marked, so give both spellings when you accept either. Capitals are ignored unless you ask for them.
Who can hear the recordings?
The student, the teacher's staff who may grade that answer and, for a child, the parent whose account they learn under. Recordings are stored privately and played only through a signed-in page, never from a public address. The pages students use carry no ads or analytics.
Can a language school with several teachers use it?
Yes. Admins set up the batches and give each its teachers; teachers see the batches they teach, and admins see them all. With more than one teacher it is a Cohort plan: Cohort 50 is $149 a month for up to 50 students, and larger schools pay by size.
Can children use it?
Yes. Children learn under a parent's account, with the parent's consent. The parent can withdraw consent for each organisation at any time, which ends the child's place there; once no consent is left, the child's records are erased.
What happens when I stop?
If your Studio subscription ends, your organisation continues on the free plan, with up to 10 students, and nothing is erased; you can subscribe again at any time. A Cohort 50 or larger subscription that ends is different: staff can still read everything but change nothing, students are paused, and the organisation's data is erased 60 days after the end.
